Dhanbad DC orders to lodge FIR against six

DHANBAD: Deputy commissioner of Dhanbad S K Barnwal has ordered to lodge FIR against six people, including two employees of the registration department, for fraudulent transfer of "gair majazura" (govt) land to civilians at several places in the district.
According to official sources, over 200 acres of government land was illegally transferred to about 12 people in Govindpur, Topchanchi, Baghmara and Dhanbad blocks with the connivance of employees of the registration department.The names of the beneficiaries were also put on land records of the revenue department.
Two employees of the registration department, Madhusudan Bhagat of Nirsa and D K Singh of Govindpur, have been found to be involved in the scandal.
The DC asked police to institute cases against Govind Pandey, Nakul Pandey, Bhikhari Pandey and Manibhushan Pandey also who grabbed the government land and got them registered in their names.
