On November 2, 2007 Ashish (50) was on his way to his Sakchi shop, when three motorcycle-borne criminals fired at him indiscriminately, killing him on the spot.

According to police, Vikram, a key member of notorious Akhilesh Singh gang, had played a prime role in the murder. Gangster Akhilesh is also an accused in the murder case. Both Vikram and Akhilesh are behind bars. The case against Singh is still on.
