Cybersecurity workshop held

Bokaro: The Delhi Public School (DPS) hosted a comprehensive workshop, ‘Cybercrime - A Review of the Evidence, How Police Investigates’ to educate and empower students in the face of digital threats, at its school campus on Wednesday. Noted cybersecurity expert and digital intelligence consultant Deepak Kumar emphasised on the need for cyber security awareness in today's digital age. DPS Bokaro principal A S Gangwar said there is a need for providing young minds with knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape safely.Deepak shared real-life examples of how young individuals get lured into cyber traps. Students were introduced to concepts such as cyberbullying and online frauds. TNN

Khalistan news: Digital media editor gets threats

The editor of a digital media platform in Mumbai received a threatening call from someone named Gurinder, warning of consequences if news related to Khalistan Sikhs was not removed. The police have registered a complaint against the caller. In a separate incident, a Sikh restaurant owner in London claimed that his car was shot at and vandalized by alleged Khalistani extremists. The incident occurred on the same day as disruptions at an event for the Indian High Commissioner. Khalistan has support in Canada due to a sense of injustice and discrimination faced by the Sikh diaspora, as well as Pakistani influence over gurdwaras.

In a world first, this country introduces digital passports

Finland has launched the world's first digital passport, allowing travelers to store and present passport information on their smartphones. The pilot project, in collaboration with Finnair, the Finnish police, and Finavia, aims to improve travel technology and security. Travelers on selected Finnair flights can register their digital passports through an app using facial recognition and biometric data. The project intends to make travel faster, smoother, and more secure by reducing the need for physical documents and human interaction. Other countries, including Poland, South Korea, the US, and the UK, are also developing similar initiatives.

DPS Anandapuram ranks 1st in AP

Delhi Public School, Anandapuram in Visakhapatnam has been ranked as the top school in Andhra Pradesh by the Education World School Awards. The school has also been recognized as world champions by the British International Education Association. The students of the school will be presenting in London in October.
