RANCHI: Handicrafts and organic silk produced in the state have managed to attract the business community and officials of Germany.
The Hall 3, Stand E18 address at Hannover Messe 2011 are attracting huge crowd as handicrafts, dokra and jadopatia of state are displayed there. Hamburg second mayor Dorothy Staple showed a keen interest in these product while meeting chief minister Arjun Munda.

Public relations officer Ajay Nath Jha said during the interaction with chief minister Munda, the German officials at Hamburg said there would be a great demand of traditional products from Jharkhand.
"Staple stressed on improvement of quality and special emphasis on production of traditional products from Jharkhand," said Jha.
Discussion also took place on possibility of export of organically produced tasar silk to Germany for expert fashion designers.
Jharkhand is the only place in the world where tasar silk is produced organically.
"The chief minister was very happy with the positive approach of the German administration towards handicraft and silk as it will help traditional artists from the state," said Jha.
On the other hand, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce
accepted the invitation of Jharkhand government and has promised to send a delegation to the state to explore the possibility of business partnership between the two countries.
A delegation will visit Jharkhand and explore the possibility of investment in agriculture, infrastructure and education.
"Businessmen in Hamburg were excited to know about the mineral wealth in Jharkhand and willingness of the state government to help investors for promotion of small and medium scale industries," said Jha.
