Cops hunt for accused in Rourkela

RANCHI: The district police have sent a team to Rourkela in Odisha to nab Raju Kumar Soni, the boyfriend of Puja Devi, who had received a parcel on Friday which contained a gun and some drugs. "Police have found that Soni left for Rourkela on Friday evening itself. The team has already left in search of the boy," said Sukh Deonagar police station OC AK Giri.
Puja, married to Satya Narayan Sahu in 2009, hails from Rourkela from where her boyfriend comes. The duo was in a relationship before marriage. Their love continued even after she was married to Sahu in Ranchi. She has confessed before police that Soni used to come to Ranchi and meet her. Few months ago Soni, who was in Ranchi, had taken her to Deoghar. Puja told police. "Sahu was innocent and he does not have any criminal background. Phone details of Puja contained some intimate SMSs which confirmed her relationship with the accused," said police.
