Cop among three killed in separate incidents in Koderma

Koderma: Three people were killed in separate incidents across the district in the past 72 hours, the police here said on Friday. Sagar Kumar (18), a resident of Chandwara, sustained injuries after his motorcycle skidded off the road amid rain near Kali Manda under Chandwara police station limits. Sagar was taken to sadar hospital by the locals, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

In a separate incident, police personnel found a 45-year-old man lying unconscious on the road at Urwan under Chandwara police station limits on Wednesday evening. A patrolling team took him to the sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead. The deceased was identified as Varun Pandey.

Meanwhile, Mansoor Alam, a cop, died after consuming poison on Thursday. Alam, posted at the police line, accused Jainagar police station in-charge Babloo Kumar and Domchanch police station in-charge Om Prakash Yadav of mentally harassing him in a video he shot before his suicide attempt. Found unconscious at the barracks, Alam was taken to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences where he died during treatment. “A case has been registered with Chandwara police station on the complaint of the wife of the deceased, and an investigation is underway,” DSP Ratibhan Singh said on Friday.
