Ranchi: The state government will distribute drought relief funds among 10 lakh farmers, scholarship among 25 lakh pre-matriculation students and provide benefits of Savitribai Phule Samridhhi Yojna (SBPKSY) to 5.60 lakh girls on the completion of its three years on Thursday (December 29). Also, he would announce schemes worth Rs 1,200 crore for beneficiaries.
In addition, Soren will also inaugurate several model schools and launch a ‘portal for monitoring infra projects’ and ‘sports integrated portal (SIP)’ on the occasion, it said in a statement.
The main function would be held at the Project Bhavan and all districts will be virtually connected with it.
While reviewing the preparation for the event recently, chief minister Hemant Soren directed officials to carry out registration and verification of the beneficiaries and make the technical preparations for smooth transfer of funds for drought relief, scholarships and SBPKSY by direct benefit transfer during the function.
The CM said that tourism, art, culture and sports department should examine all the technical aspects of SIP, which is meant to benefit the sportspersons and the coaches of the state. He also said preparations for launching of model schools of excellence should be completed before the third anniversary of the government.
