CM holds meet on filling pending vacancies in Commissions
Ranchi: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday held a selection committee meeting at his residence to fill up various pending posts in the State Information Commission, and the Lokayukta. Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi and cabinet Minister Hafizul Ansari were also present.
State department of personnel department has scrutinized more than 200 applications and submitted the list to the selection committee regarding the appointment of Information Commissioners.
The post of Lokayukta has been vacant since June 2021, while all key posts in the State Information Commission have been vacant since May 2020.
After the meeting, Marandi said that they are now hoping that empty commissions will soon get filled. He said, “We have been raising this issue both inside and outside the Assembly for long. Now, we just hope that the govt acts fast and vacancies get filled.”

The post of Lokayukta has been vacant since June 2021, while all key posts in the State Information Commission have been vacant since May 2020.
