Chatra: The police on Saturday seized contraband worth Rs 1.3 crore from raids in several spots under Lawalong police station limits.Chatra SP Sumit Kumar Agrawal said a team led by Simaria subdivisional police officer Shubham Kumar Khandelwal raided a home in Budhi village and other hideouts in Sildag, Sauru and Nawadih villages. Around 16.95 kg of wet opium, 296.95 kg of poppy straw (doda), 76.7 kg of poppy seeds and 50 grams of ganja were seized along with Rs 3.11 lakh in cash, motorcycle and other documents.All the smugglers managed to flee, SP said.
