Chatra hospital to get ultrasound machine

Chatra: Chatra sadar hospital is all set to get an ultrasound machine by the first week of March, officials at the hospital said.
“Funds to the tune of Rs 30 lakh have been approved by DMFT funds for the project,” an official said.
Once the machine is installed, the patients can get an ultrasound done at Rs 500 at sadar hospital.
“Patients usually spend Rs 800 at private facilities for an ultrasound,” the hospital’s deputy superintendent, Rajeev Rajan, said, adding, “Every day dozens of patients go to private clinics to get an ultrasound done.Upon seeing their difficulty, we decided to get the machine installed here.”
In the past too, the sadar hospital tried to install the facility but the project suffered numerous delays due to the unavailability of funds.
