CBSE releases 30 sets of sample papers ahead of board exams
Ranchi: Central Board of Secondary Education-affiliated schools in Ranchi district are intensifying their preparation strategy for examinations by providing students with an unprecedented number of sample question papers. The move followed after CBSE, in a unique initiative, released 30 sets of sample papers for Class X and 20 sets for Class XII students."This strategic move aims at helping students familiarise themselves with the exam format and content during their winter vacation," said Niraj Kumar Sinha, the principal of Firayalal Public School. "These resources mirror the actual examination pattern, enabling effective practice and providing insights into potential question types," he said.Other education experts also believe this initiative will boost students' confidence and preparedness during the crucial academic phase. The comprehensive sample papers cover various subjects across the syllabus, addressing recent changes in the exam pattern that emphasize concept-based answers. Rajesh Pillai, the principal of Kairali School, said, "These sample papers help students understand the question patterns and develop time management strategies essential for board exam success. Schools aim to give the students a head start on their preparation, allowing them to practice and refine their skills beforehand." To further strengthen exam preparations, the schools have scheduled a second pre-board examination after the winter vacation. This additional assessment will help students gauge their readiness for the final exams.Students have also welcomed the initiative, acknowledging its value in their academic preparation. "Having access to these sample papers during the winter break provides an opportunity for focused study and helps reduce exam-related stress," said Divyanshi Kumari, a Class XII student. The introduction of multiple sample paper sets represents CBSE's commitment to supporting students through comprehensive preparation resources. This approach helps the students not only understand the exam format better but also builds their confidence through extensive practice opportunities.
