Bus services from Dumka halted as operators seek arrest of assailants

Dumka: Bus services from the Atal Bihari Bus Terminus in Dumka remained halted on Tuesday as bus operators protested against the district administration for the delay in arresting the miscreants who shot at Santhal Pargana Motor Mazdoor Union President Arun Singh on Feb 24. Singh was headed to the terminus when he was shot at by two bike-borne miscreants. One bullet struck below his neck. Singh joined the protest after returning from a hospital in Durgapur. The protest was called off in the evening after deputy commissioner Abhijeet Sinha met representatives of the association and assured to arrest the miscreants soon.
