Two Sentenced to Life Imprisonment In Bokaro Road Rage Case
Bokaro: The court of Principal and District Session Judge, Anil Kumar Mishra, awarded Mohammad Ibrahim (22) and Muzammil (23) life imprisonment after finding them guilty in a 2024 road rage case. The two convicts were also fined Rs 1 lakh.The convicted were Muzammil, a resident of Noori Mohalla, and Ibrahim of Khan Mohalla in Azad Nagar.The additional public prosecutor (APP) of Bokaro court, Ravishankar Choudhary said, “Ankit Kumar (20), a resident of Azad Nagar, was attacked by accused Muzammil near a ration shop at Azad Nagar under the Marafari police station on October 5, 2024.”“The brother of the victim, Deepak Kumar, alleged that Ankit was riding a bike with his friend, Sonu. Accused Muzammil, who was cruising on his bike, nearly collided with them. Ankit urged Muzammil to drive slowly. Muzammil started abusing Ankit. The verbal spat soon escalated into a physical assault, and Muzammil called Ibrahim. They attacked Ankit with a knife,” Choudhary added.Judge held the two guilty under section 115 (2) read with 3 (5), 118 (2), 117 (2), 109, 352 of BNS Act and awarded life imprisonment. All the sections will run concurrently.
