Bokaro Aadhaar Drive: Bridging Gaps for Essential Govt Benefits
Bokaro: Gaps in Aadhaar coverage are leaving children, elderly citizens and vulnerable groups at risk of missing out on essential govt benefits. Several areas in the district still face limited access to enrolment centres, while delays in updates like mobile numbers, biometrics and addresses are adding to public inconvenience.
Hence, the district administration is preparing to launch a special drive in low-coverage areas to bridge the accessibility gap and ensure smoother, faster services for residents. The campaign will include enrolment camps, especially for kids aged 0-5 years, along with efforts to activate inactive Aadhaar kits and expand services across all blocks.
Deputy development commissioner (DDC) Shatabdi Majumdar said, “Aadhaar has become a crucial document for accessing govt schemes. Our priority is to ensure that no eligible person is left out. We will achieve 100% coverage in the district through special drives and better coordination.”
“The administration’s larger motive is to strengthen inclusion by ensuring that every resident is digitally identified and connected to welfare benefits without barriers,” she added.
DC Ajay Nath Jha said, “Ensuring 100% Aadhaar coverage is our priority. No eligible citizen should be left out of this essential identity system. Focus is on children, students, senior citizens and divyang beneficiaries.”
“Strict action will be taken against negligence, as transparent, timely and citizen-friendly Aadhaar services are crucial for effective implementation of govt schemes,” added.
