Jamshedpur: BJP functionaries on Saturday protested outside the office of East Singhbhum SSP as Kairav, the 22-year-old son of city-based businessman Devan Gandhi, remained traceless despite a special investigation team looking for him.
Led by Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, Jamshedpur (East) MLA Purnima Das Sahu and others, the BJP workers criticised the law-and-order scenario of Jharkhand and accused the Hemant Soren-led govt failing to arrest the growing crime graph in the state.
The party leaders charged the Hemant Soren government of failing to provide good law and order in the state and claimed that the kidnapping of the trader’s son has made traders jittery.
“Administrative machinery has collapsed in Jharkhand. Ransom calls, kidnapping, murders, snatching and robbery have increased manifold,” Bidyut claimed. He said Kairav’s abduction has frightened the business community in the Steel City.
