BJP fires fresh salvo at CM, INDIA bloc govt

Ranchi: State BJP president Babulal Marandi on Tuesday accused chief minister Hemant Soren of failing to keep his promise once again as 2024 came to an end."CM Hemant Soren had promised to release a calendar of recruitment examinations under JPSC and JSSC for 2025 by the end of 2024 in his first cabinet meeting after being sworn in. But as the year comes to an end, no such initiative was seen by the govt," Marandi said in a statement.Marandi's statement came as BJP, looking to bounce back from its dismal performance at the state assembly election which saw it shrink further in terms of seats, has focussed on strengthening its base and increasing its outreach in rural areas of Jharkhand.With its membership drive currently underway, the saffron party has signed up close to three lakh new members in the state in the past week or so, insiders said. Now, the state leadership on Tuesday reviewed the progress of the ongoing drive and urged its organization members to step up their efforts.Tuesday's meeting was attended by Marandi, executive president Ravindra Kumar, organisational secretary Karamvir Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Verma and others."The membership drive began on December 22 and is progressing rapidly," he added.
