Dumka: Two men involved in a robbery case, at Basukinath under Jarmundi police station, were arrested on Friday.
The arrested duo from Jarmundi, Jai Krishna Gupta and Jiya Naag, set in motion a plan to rob Basukinath businessman Rajendra Gupta on February 4. Gupta is a peda (the main Naivedya item offered at Basukinath Shiva temple) dealer.
Dumka SP Vipul Shukla said Jai Krishna Gupta, who also owns a peda shop in Basukinath, confessed that he "wanted to teach his business rival Rajendra a lesson" and decided to enlist the help of miscreants from neighbouring Bihar to rob Gupta's house.

Four criminals from Lakhisarai and Munger districts of Bihar were enlisted for the job. They looted cash, jewellery and a four-wheeler.
Police found the stolen car but are still on the hunt for the criminals. The jewellery looted was also seized by police. "The Bihar police are cooperating with us to arrest the four criminals," Shukla said on Friday.
