Birsa Munda Airport Celebrates Yatri Seva Diwas with Cultural Events and Traditional Welcome

Ranchi: Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi will showcase Jharkhand’s rich cultural tapestry to passengers visiting the airport on Wednesday, as a mark of celebration of Yatri Seva Diwas.The passengers visiting the airport will also receive a traditional welcome on Wednesday, said Birsa Airport director R R Mourya. This apart, the airport authorities have lined up various other events to observe the day.“The Birsa Munda Airport authorities have decided to organise a series of events, including welcoming passengers to the land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda by giving them flowers and applying ‘tilak’ on their foreheads on the occasion of 'Yatri Seva Diwas' on Wednesday. Cultural troupes of the state will perform songs and dances of Jharkhand to give passengers a glimpse of the rich cultural tapestry of the state,” Maurya added.The airport director added that an educational tour has also been arranged for a group of school students to the airport, so that they can be inspired to take aviation as a career option.“The guided tour will be arranged for the students of classes 10 to 12. Following the tour, the experts of various sectors at the airport will interact with the students to clear any doubts. A painting and quiz competition will also be organised among the students,” the director added.
