Balasore tragedy: Bodies of 2 Dumka victims arrive
Dumka: A pal of gloom descended on the Jarmundi block of Dumka district after the bodies of two residents, who died in the June 2 Balasore train tragedy, were brought back by the state government to their respective homes for the funeral.While the body of Lakhan Manjhi (22) of Dayalpur village arrived on Thursday evening, the body of Devison Marandi of Matkara village arrived on Wednesday.Eight youths, who belonged to tribal communities, of Jarmundi block were on their way to Chennai on the ill-fated Coromandel Express to look for jobs as migrant workers.Block development officer Phuleswar Murmu said, “Six of the eight youths in the age group of 18 to 22 years on the Coromandel Express to travel to Chennai, are believed to have died.”
