Bail pleas of BJP leaders rejected

HAZARIBAG: Chief judicial magistrate of Hazaribag R B Pal on Saturday rejected the bail petitions of BJP leaders Shiv Shankar Prasad Gupta and Vijay Verma who humiliated and manhandled the GM Dhanesh Jha on June 2.
Their bail petitions were placed for hearing on Saturday in the court and after hearing the petition, the court rejected their bail petition since the offences were under Section 353 of the IPC which is preventing officials from discharging their official work.
Interestingly hearing for the bail petitions for four other petitioners - Ratna Sinha, Mukta Sahay, Bijul Devi and Uma Pathak which were also put up for hearing were finally not moved by the advocate of the petitioners after court rejected the first two petitions. Meanwhile the agitation which was led by Yashwant Sinha entered sixth day on Saturday as BJP workers and supporters continued to offer dharna on the in the campus of the GM's office here.
