Asymptomatic patients will be kept within their blocks: DC
Hazaribag: Sixteen community health centres (CHCs) in Hazaribag have been turned into Covid care centres for lodging asymptomatic patients, deputy commissioner Bhuvanesh Pratap Singh said on Monday.
He added, “We have also equipped the CHCs with oxygen cylinders and other emergency devices.”
“Since Covid-19 cases are rising, we have decided to keep the patients within the block itself.

This will help us to curb transmission to during transit. There were cases in which ambulance drivers got the virus while transporting patients from other blocks to a Covid hospital. From now on, only serious patients will be accommodated at Covid hospitals,” Singh said, adding that the district has a total of 600 beds for Covid-19 patients in the hospitals.
In another development, members of Hazaribag Bar Association said that they will not attend court proceedings till July 31 as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the virus.
