Aspiring teachers take CTET in city
Ranchi: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam, which is a prerequisite for individuals aspiring to engage in teaching positions at primary and upper primary government schools, were conducted at 28 centres across the city on Sunday. Out of the 12,383 candidates who had registered for the exam, 83% appeared in the exam.The examinations were held in two shifts — 9:30am to noon and 2:30pm to 5pm. The first shift was for applicants for the primary section, and the second shift was for the middle section.Candidates expressed both excitement and nervousness as they lined up outside the centres well before the scheduled time.Manisha Mehta, an aspirant, said, “I have been dedicating long hours to prepare for this day. The paper was moderate. This examination holds immense value for teaching job aspirants like me. Our performance today will determine the trajectory of our careers. I am hopeful of a positive outcome.”
