‘Animal welfare board not looking after cowsheds’

Ranchi: The Union minister of fisheries and animal husbandry, Parshottam Rupala, has informed Parliament that the Animal Welfare Board of India has not undertaken functioning of any ‘gaushala’, which looks after street bovines, in Jharkhand. Rupala was responding to a question raised by MP Deepak Prakash on status of ‘guashalas’ in Jharkhand. tnn
