RANCHI: Class X board exam results for Central Board of Secondary Education, Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and Jharkhand Academic Council are expected to be announced in the third and the last week of May.

According to ICSE regional coordinator Christopher Francis, evaluation of papers is already complete and tabulation is under process. Results are expected to be announced by the third week of May. For CBSE, results are also expected to be declared by the third week of May. According to JAC official sources, the evaluation of papers is under process and likely to be over by May third week and the results are expected to be announced between May 20 to May 25.



Around 11,800 students appeared in Class X CBSE exams across the Ranchi zone between February 15 and March 21 while around 7,600 students wrote ICSE Class X exams across the zone between February 29 and March 29. In the JAC Class X exams held from March 14 to April 15, around 4.25 lakh students appeared across the state.

Meanwhile, some schools have already begun classes for Class XI based on probationary admissions some are awaiting for the results. The institutions including Firayalal Public School and Cambrian Public School have begun classes and reserved a percentage of seats for admissions following publication of results. Firayalal Public School principal Niraj Kumar Sinha said, "Classes for Class XI have already begun for those admitted on a provisional premise, based on an entrance exam and pre-board exam scores. For candidates to be admitted after the results are released 40% of seats have been reserved."

Schools including Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali, Bishop Westcott Boys School, and Delhi Public School are waiting for the announcement of the results before starting the classes. Chief coordinator of Bishop Westcott Boys School TK Chakraborty said, "Classes for Class XI will begin in June after the results are published so that students can take admission based on their grades.”

Meanwhile, some students have already started preparation for further studies.

Cambrian Public School Class X student Sushant Shekhar has started coaching for the science stream. He said, "I intend to enrol in the science stream at KV based on Class X marks."

In addition to enrolling in Class XI, Alka Kumari has been preparing for competitive exams.
