Action on missing children: NCPCR takes notice of missing children case; Police directed to submit action report in five days
Ranchi: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Tuesday took a suo motu cognisance of the case related to the two missing children from the Dhurwa locality of the city. The commission has sent a notice to the state’s director general of police (DGP) and asked for the quick recovery of the children. It has also directed DGP Tadasha Mishra that an action taken report be submitted in this connection within five days. The commission’s member secretary, Sanjeev Sharma, also spoke to Ranchi’s senior superintendent of police, Rakesh Ranjan, and inquired about the current status of the case. It may be stated that the Union minister for women and child development, Annapurna Devi, visited the family of the missing children on Monday. Other ministers, including the minister of state for defence Sanjay Seth, and BJP leaders have also visited the family.
