GARHWA: As part of their nationwide programme, thousands of
ABVP activists on Wednesday took out a rally in the district to protest against rise in corruption and black money deposited in foreign banks. The rally comprising over 3,000 boys and girls was taken out from the local Rama Sahu High School, which passed through the main thoroughfares and later converged at the collectorate ground in a meeting.
Addressing the meeting, senior ABVP leader
Sonu Singh said, "The Prime Minister is well aware of the prevailing corruption in the country. But he is doing nothing to curb it." He also termed the UPA government at the centre "corrupt". "It is the prime duty of students to oppose this government," he added. After the meeting, a memorandum was handed over by the ABVP to the DC for forwarding it to the President.
The memorandum included all properties related to various scams be declared as national property and to improve the education scenario in the country.
