Ranchi: The two-day Jharkhand International Film Festival and Award 2022 (JIFFA) concluded at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) on Sunday. Governor Ramesh Bias was the guest of honour at the valedictoryfunction of the event.
Out of the 153 films from around the world, 53 were awarded at the fest.
Governor Bais said, “Screening of films from various nations gives filmmakers a boost and an opportunity to advance their careers.
There is a favourable environment for film production in the state, and applicants receive subsidies. Films should also be made on the lives of freedom fighters of the state.”
Films from 32 counties were screened at the festival. Bollywood actors, including Sachin, Shivani Sharma and
Smriti Kashyap of Nadiya Ke Paar film attended the event.
