also seized six coal-laden trucks, one JCB machine and pickup van each and apprehended eight persons from the depot.
The seized coal was brought illegally from one outsourcing patch of Jharia locality and dumped in the depot for onward transportation to other states using forged papers, said police. Govindpur police were yet to register a formal case till late in the evening. Police said they have launched a drive against illegal coal trade and lodged nearly 150 FIRs in last three months. TNN
