3.9 Kg Pangolin Scales Seized in Latehar, Three Arrested Under Wildlife Protection Act

Daltonganj: A total of 3.9 kg pangolin scales were recovered from three accused in two areas of Latehar district.

Chandwa range officer N K Mahto said, “Forest team arrested one Chhoti Devi (27) and recovered 2 kg of pangolin scales in Latehar on January 18. In another operation, we recovered 1.9 kg pangolin scales on January 15. Two accused, Raju (46) and Md Jamshed (35), were arrested and jailed under sections of the wildlife protection act.”
