20 struck by lightning in Bokaro

BOKARO: Twenty women were injured by lightning while they were on the farms cultivating paddy at Karma village under Singhpur Panchayat of Kasmar block on Wednesday.
Of the 20, the condition of three - Mamta Kumari, Sunita Devi and Darshani Devi - is critical and they have been referred to Bokaro General Hospital (BGH). The rest of them are undergoing treatment at the primary health center in Kasmar.
Administrative officials, Gomia MLA Madhavlal Singh and zila parsihad members reached the hospital to assess their condition. Singh has asked the health department to send more doctors and paramedical staff to attend to the patients in Kasmar PHC.tnn
