11-Year-Old Girl Missing in Ranchi: Police Intensify Search, Reward Offered
Ranchi: Police on Monday intensified their search for an 11-year-old girl from Girijatoli locality of Dibdih area in the city, who has been missing since Feb 4.The parents of the girl, Neha Toppo, have announced a reward of Rs 21,000 for any information leading to her whereabouts.

Police said this is the second time the girl has gone missing in recent days. On Jan 27, Neha had left for school from her maternal uncle’s house in Dibdih but failed to return. She was later found the next day under the Dibdih bridge, about 3 km from her home, and handed over to her maternal uncle at the request of her parents, who work as labourers in Delhi.The girl had reportedly told police that she did not wish to stay with her maternal uncle as she was frequently scolded by uncle and aunt.Hatia DSP P K Mishra said, “The girl left her maternal uncle’s house on Feb 4 on the pretext of going to school, though it was a holiday on account of Shab-e-Barat. She has been missing since then. We are examining CCTV footage from the area to trace her.”
