The foreign visitors collected the garbage while their visually challenged partners put the trash in bags they were carrying.
It indeed was an inspiring exercise for one and all that included local denizens and tourists from Gujarat.
Even the vice-chairman of Mount Abu municipality, Dilip Tak was full of praise when he came and saw the girls and boys in their teen from the US devotedly cleaning the trash around the periphery of the famous Nakki Lake.
One of the volunteers, Jolly, also invited a Gujarati couple to join her group in clearing the mess around the beautiful lake. "My name is Jolly, come and join us in cleaning up the mess," she urged them.
The Gujarati couple joined in the good work being carried out by the American volunteers who had badges with meaningful messages pinned up on their shirts like 'Give the lake a break - don't litter', 'People for animals', 'We hate plastic - Vote 4 Pat', 'Don't be mean, keep Nakki Lake clean'.
Juliet was shocked to see the muck in a nullah. But, that did not deter her from her commitment. She along with her young colleagues went on and cleaned the place. Many tourists admired their devotion as they captured them on their cameras.
Gunvant Bhai from Jamnagar also could not stop himself from joining in the good work, "I would also form a group in my locality with friends of Mount Abu and return to not only clean all the trash that we visitors litter, but teach people to take care of their very own favourite resort - Mount Abu."
