Two arrested for murder

Police

on Wednesday arrested two persons for allegedly stoning a man to death and dumping his body on the riverbed in Koyaba village of Halvad taluka in Morbi district on Monday.


The accused were identified as Ajit Koli and Mukesh Koli. They had allegedly stoned to death Jitendra Koli.

“The accused confessed to their crime and said that as Jitendra had tried to kill Ajit’s father by attempting to run him over with a tractor, they had decided to teach him a lesson. They called him at the riverbed and bludgeoned him to death with stones,” said an official from Halvad police station.
