RAJKOT: Gandhigram police have arrested three students for allegedly circulating the question paper of second semester of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) of Saurashtra University on WhattsApp before the examination began at various centres on Monday.

Sources said Jani clicked the photo images of the question paper one-and-a-half hours before the examination was scheduled to begin and sent them across on WhattsApp to Gaurav and Jayesh, who further circulated the images among the students in large numbers.
Taking instant action after they came to know about the paper being leaked, the university officials cancelled the exam. The students will now have to appear for the paper on April 27.
Later, a case of theft was registered by Kirit Pathak of Saurashtra University against unidentified persons in this matter on Monday.
Preliminary investigations by the police found that the examination centre at Glorious College was under the supervision of Jani, who had been given the responsibility instead of the academic staff. Jani himself is a student of sixth semester of BCA. The police are investigating the possible involvement of other college and university staff members. Sources said more arrests are likely to take place soon.
