SU, Slovakian university join hands for collaboration in literature

Rajkot: The Department of English and Comparative Literature Studies at Saurashtra University (SU) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of English and American Studies of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, for collaboration in literature.

According to SU

, the initial focus of the MoU will be on inter-departmental linkage between two universities.

Sanjay Mukherjee head of department at SU said, “The thrust areas of this MoU in the present time would be joint online lectures by the faculty of the two departments, joint webinars, publications, and in the coming academic year, a semester-level online certificate course for a maximum of 10 students of the two departments.”

The MoU was signed by vice-chancellor of SU Nitin Pethani and Libor Vozar, rector of Constantine the Philosopher University. The series of lectures are expected in next two weeks with professor Kamal Mehta, professor R B Zala and professor Sanjay Mukherjee from SU and professor Maria Hrickova and her colleagues at the Department of English & American Studies reciprocating from Slovakia.
