RAJKOT: As voting date gets closer, chief minister Vijay Rupani is all set to intensify his campaign in Rajkot (west) by planning three public meetings a day to reach out to maximum voters in the constituency.
Rupani is expected to hold 16 different functions in just four days on November 28 and 29 and December 2 and 6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to address a public rally in Rajkot in the first week of December.

BJP sources who are involved in the preparation of Rupani’s functions said that the CM will also meet people in small numbers in caste-wise group. “We have targeted the BJP’s committed caste voters for these meetings,” they said.
Rupani is pitted against Gujarat’s richest candidate Indranil Rajguru of the Congress, who has changed his safe Rajkot (east) seat only to contest against the CM.
