Rajkot gay lover on fast for partner's swift release

RAJKOT: The final episode of a lesbian love story is being played out on the streets of this conservative Gujarat city after the first two unfolded at a police station and a courtroom.
On Tuesday, the police arrested Naseem Budhiya (26), on a protest fast at a prominent city crossing demanding her friend, Kajal Patel (25) be freed. Naseem is, however, out on bail.
This came a day after Bajrang Dal acivists got into the act of slamming the relationship, but police ensured they were kept away from Naseem.The police action came after Kajal reportedly made a statement in Mehsana that she did not want to live with Naseem.
