Miraculous escape for women in cylinder blast

Palanpur: In a miraculous escape, a 70-year-old woman, Narmada Patel, survived a powerful gas cylinder explosion that destroyed her house in Dedhisasan village of Mehsana district early Tuesday morning.
The explosion, which occurred around 4 a.m., was so intense that the roof of the house collapsed, reducing all the furniture inside to rubble.
Haresh Patel of the Mehsana fire brigade said the gas cylinder had likely been leaking overnight, but the elderly woman Narmada Patel was unaware of the danger. The blast was triggered the moment she lit the stove to heat water.
Patel sustained only minor burns in the incident.
