Married woman files rape complaint

RAJKOT: A 36-year-old married woman of Junagadh registered a complaint of rape against her neighbour alleging that he was physically assaulting her after blackmailing and threatening her.
Based on her complaint, the B division police of Junagadh town booked Maulik Vaniya under IPC sections 376 (2)(N) and 506 (2).
According to the rape survivor who has a daughter, Vaniya raped her after threatened to reveal her past and blackmailed her in May.He continued to pressure her in keeping physical relation with him.
According to the complaint, accused raped the complainant in 2014 when she was unmarried and had gone to clean her neighbour’s house.
However, after her marriage he started to blackmail her saying he would reveal her past before her husband and assaulted her physically whenever her husband was away, she told the police.
