RAJKOT: Police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old man rickshaw driver, Ranjit Parmar, who was found murdered near ST bus workshop in city on Thursday morning.

Rajendra Jadeja allegedly killed Parmar as the latter was not returning Rs 10,000 that he owed to him.
Malviyanagar police found that Rajbha, who went missing after committing crime, accompanied Parmar on Wednesday night.
He has confessed to the crime.
Investigating officials said that Rajbha had given Rs 10,000 to Parmar few days back. When Rajbha started asking him to return the money, Parmar kept dilly-dallying and finally outrightly denied. This angered Jadeja and killed him with a sword on Wednesday night.
Police said that Jadeja was also a rickshaw driver and a friend of Parmar. Rajbha reportedly told the police that he did not want to kill him but he bluntly denied giving the money which angered him. He took out a sword which he always kept with him in rickshaw.
Parmar was living a vagabond life and was an alcoholic. He is survived by his two sons, three daughters and wife Kailash Parmar. Parmar rarely gave his earnings to his family and used to spend all the money for liquor, police said.
