RAJKOT: Lawyers in the city stayed away from work on Wednesday to register their protest against the attack on two legal representatives on Tuesday evening.
Advocate Hemant Bhatt and his friend Nilesh Patel, who is also a lawyer, were beaten up by three persons in the court premises after an accident.
Bhatt was going to court when his bike collided with other two-wheeler on Jawahar Road.

The accident triggered a fight and three persons who were in a drunken condition entered into heated verbal altercation with him. Bhatt's friend Patel, who was passing through the area, stopped and tried to intervene in the fight.
However, the trio followed them till the court compound and again started fighting with them. One of them even splashed hot tea on Bhatt's face. They were in no mood to relent and challenged the two lawyers to come to temple near Civil Hospital for a fight.
Pradhymannagar police station officials also reached the spot and arrested three accused -- Deepak Sarang, Mahesh Ramchandani and Raju Shingala -- on Tuesday evening.
