Ex-boyfriend attacks college girl

Rajkot: A 19-year-old college girl was molested and attacked with a knife by her former boyfriend on a public road in Jamnagar city on Wednesday.
Police arrested the accused Ajay Sarvaiyya following a complaint lodged by the girl.
Sarvaiya waylaid the girl when she was going to the tuition class, riding pillion with her cousin sister on KP Shah Vaadi Road, and asked her to continue their relationship.
When the girl refused, he got enraged and started hurling abuses at her. Sarvaiya then attacked the girl with a knife. She suffered injuries on the head and had to take five stitches.
The girl, a second-year BCom student, told police that she had an affair with Sarvaiya about a year ago. However, when her parents came to know, she severed her relationship with him five months ago.
However, Sarvaiya was forcing her to continue with the affair.
He was booked under IPC sections pertaining to outraging modesty of a woman, assault and others.
