CM Rupani to attend first India-England cricket Test

RAJKOT: Chief minister Vijay Rupani will be present at the first cricket Test match to be played between India and England at

Saurashtra

Cricket Association's stadium in Rajkot from November 9 to 13.

This will be first ever Test to be played in Saurashtra.

"CM has accepted the invitation of SCA and will be present on the first day of the match on November 9. He will also felicitate cricketers who have represented Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy and India in Test matches," SCA said in a statement.

Players like Salim Durani,

Karsan

Ghavri, Dilip Doshi, Yajurvendra Singh, Dhiraj Parsana, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja will be felicitated.

SCA further said that CM will also present mementos to English and Welsh Cricket Board (

ECB

) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
