Nava Bandar marine police station officials identified the victims as Sunil Bambhania (18), Bhavesh Bambhania (19), Kanti Bambhania (22) and Samat Majithiya (40).

“The fishermen had set sail on the boat named Ambika Prasad on September 21. After an alert of turbulent sea was issued, they were coming back to the shore when the boat was caught in the choppy waters, and their boat capsized,” said an official from Nava Bandar marine police station.

“While the four mentioned fishermen are feared drowned, three other fishermen, identified as Bharat Naran, Jayenti Megha and Bharat Ghela, managed to keep themselves afloat with the help of wooden planks and rubber tubes in the sea.
