NEW DELHI: At least three people died and one sustained injuries after a blaze erupted at Atlantis Building in Gujarat's Rajkot on Friday morning.
According to reports, flames quickly engulfed the building, with numerous occupants unable to escape.
Emergency services received alerts during mid-morning, and fire and rescue units immediately responded to the location.
Emergency personnel conducted an extensive rescue operation to control the fire and safely remove occupants from the premises. Despite their efforts, three people lost their lives in the incident.
The injured individual has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased persons' names have not been released, and officials are expected to provide additional information soon.
"Three people have lost their lives, and one injured person has been admitted to hospital for treatment. All the people living in the flat have been evacuated. The fire has been brought under control, and the situation is normal at the moment, " said SP BJ Chaudhary.
All residents dwelling in the flat have been safely evacuated.
The conflagration has been successfully extinguished, and the situation remains stable at present.
