10-day-old Rajkot girl has a PAN card

RAJKOT: Aahna Modi who was born on October 21 in a private hospital in Rajkot has become one of the youngest Permanent Account Number (PAN) card holders in the country. She obtained her PAN card 10 days after her birth.
"We are very happy that we could obtain the PAN card for our baby at such a young age," proud father of Aahna, Apoorva Modi said. Modi runs an engineering firm in the city and wanted to register his baby girl's name among the youngest PAN card holders in the country.
"Now, all the monetary gifts she receives from our family members and relatives will be deposited inher bank accounts. I also want to open a Public Provident Fund (PPF) account for her. When she becomes a 15-year-old, she would get the maturity amount,'' Modi said.
The race for becoming youngest PAN card holders in the country started in 2010 when Bipasha Modak from West Bengal was declared the one to have obtained it when she was just 22-days old.
