RAJAHMUNDRY: A person has raped his 14 year-old niece in Chagallu mandal in East Godavari district. A case was booked by the police in Chagallu police station under sections 376(2)(n) 376(3) 506 ipc & sec 6 r/w 5(l) of pocso act.
According to Kovvur DSP, G Deva Kumar, the minor girl is studying class 9 in SC Welfare Hostel and the teacher of the girl has told her to bring her family member for the enrollment of Adhaar. As the mother of the victim is working in Kuwait, her grandmother has sent the maternal uncle of the girl by name Sanamandra Kamal. The 22 year-old accused has signed in the school register and took the girl out of the school. Kamal has takne the girl to his grandmother’s house in a village of Chagallu mandal when his granny was not at the home. By opening the door of the house with the key which was placed outside, the accused raped the minor girl. In the past too, he raped the girl in her village. The accused was arrested by the police and produced before the court. The court has remanded the accused by the court.
