Two school kids drown in pond while bathing in Raipur

Raipur: Two primary school kids drowned in a pond while bathing in Raipur on Tuesday.
Police said that Tejas Raut, 10, and Vijay Deep, 8, went to have a bath after returning from school. There was no one around when they drowned. When a passerby spotted school uniforms of the children, he suspected something amiss. He looked around to check if the kids were bathing in the pond but spotted the bodies in water and alerted the police.
The bodies of the two children were recovered with the help of locals.The families were in a state of deep grief and despair.
Police arrived at the scene following the report of the two children's deaths. The uniform and shoes were seized by the police and the bodies were handed over to parents.
