State jump ropers shine with 22 medals in national tourney

Raipur: Chhattisgarh jump ropers have clinched an impressive total of 22 medals at the 19th National Senior Jump Rope Competition held in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Their stellar performance includes 18 gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze medal.In the 18 age group, Tushar Yadav secured the gold medal in the single rope speed event. Ravi Nirmalkar won the gold medal in the three-minute speed endurance event, and Tumeshwar earned the bronze medal in the same age group.Himanshu Kashyap triumphed in the men's U-22 age group, winning the gold medal in the single rope freestyle event, while Purnima Nishad claimed the gold medal in the women's category.Menka Yadav emerged victorious with a gold medal in the women's category, while Himanshu Manikpuri secured the gold medal in the men's U-18 freestyle event.Gagan Deshmukh took home the gold medal in the men's category of the single rope double under event for the 18-year-old group, and Bhavna Razak won the gold medal in the U-22 women's category.Gopash Chandani claimed the gold medal in the U-22 men's individual triple under event, and Harsh Manikpuri secured his second gold medal in the U-18 group in the same event.In the men's 18-year-old age group, the team of Yuvraj Dewangan, Akshat Prajapati, Chandan Dewangan, and Pushkar Lodhi won the silver medal in the single rope speed relay event. Meanwhile, Tupeshwar Kanwar, Tushar Yadav, Gagan Deshmukh, and Ravi Nirmalkar, who formed Chhattisgarh's second team in the same age group, emerged victorious with the gold medal.Yuvraj Dewangan and Akshat Prajapati secured the gold medal in the team event of the single rope pair freestyle for the men's category, while Chandan Dewangan and Pushkar Lodhi won the gold medal in the U-18 age group of the team event double under pairs relay.Chahat Dadhich, Khushi Nirmalkar, Deepshikha, and Disha Thakur triumphed with the gold medal in the women's team event of the double Dutch speed relay. Additionally, Chahat Dadhich, Khushi Nirmalkar, and Deepshikha Nirmalkar claimed gold in the double Dutch single freestyle event.In the men's U-22 age group, the team consisting of Suraj Kumar, Hrithik Verma, Himanshu Kashyap, and Gopash Chandani won the gold medal in the double Dutch speed relay. Similarly, in the same age group, Rudra Dutt, Bhavesh Sinha, and Hrithik Verma secured the gold medal in the double Dutch single freestyle event.Kunti Sori and Purnima Borkar emerged as the gold medalists in the women's double under pairs relay in the U-22 age group. In the men's category of the same age group, Rudradutt and Bhavesh Sinha secured the silver medals.
