RAIPUR: In yet another accident due to selfie-craze, a youth in Koriya district received serious burn injuries after coming in contact with live-wire. The youth was trying to click a selfie from the top of railway overbridge. After coming in contact with the high-tension live wire he fell on the ground. He sustained burns and fainted on the spot. He was rushed to a hospital where his condition is stable.
According to reports, the 20-year-old youth hailing from Ujiyarpur region of Koriya district climbed up the railway overbridge located on National Highway-43. He took out his smart phone and tried to take a selfie while standing on the railing. An eye-witnesses said that the boy slipped from the railing and came in contact with a high-tension wire. He was rushed to a hospital by local residents from where he was referred to Ambikapur district hospital. The boy sustained severe burns on his chest and hands.
